Reviving my blog

Think it's time I posted something on my very neglected blog.  Obviously, I've forgotten about it and honestly, it is rarely a priority for me these days.

Of late, I have been doing more cardmaking since it is almost always instant gratification.  There are so many great stamps out there as well as digi images.  I'm loving copic coloring, although I have a long way to go before I consider myself good at coloring with Copics!  My Silhouette Cameo finally arrived and I am having a blast learning to use it!  I don't think I will ever have a need to use the Cricut Expression again and certainly will never invest in any more of their expensive cartridges.

I am fortunate to live only five minutes from my local scrapbook store, Photo Scraps, and they are now carrying Silhouette products so it will be very convenient to replace mats, etc.  It is at Photo Scraps that I have had the opportunity to participate in their Demo Day once a month.  The store provides several card projects and layouts for customers to make at a very very reasonable price.  Everything is usually cut and/or stamped for the sake of time and the customer puts it all together all the while learning about new products and/or techniques.

This month I am demonstrating a card using a My Favorite Things stamp:  Fred Bear and the Pinwheel.  He's definitely a cutie and I chose to embellish him with a pinwheel we'll be making that really spins.  It should be lots of fun this Saturday.  Here is a pic:

Enjoy the weekend!  I am off to take a couple of great classes at another fav of mine, The Queen's Ink.  It's all about collaged tags, transparencies and inks today!

Ciao!
